The Red Phone

The Red Phone (NL)

Soulful Blues Punk. Sexy, raw and from the guts. Sometimes wild and ecstatic, sometimes lowdown or dreamy. One can tell it’s the Red Phone! The band members compose music for gangster movies and work in studios, but are most of all known for their energetic live shows.

Just before the launch of The Red Phone’s debut single ‘Sonny Boy’, the infamous Dutch film director Arne Toonen fell in love with the band’s music and decided to use it in his thriller movie ‘Black Out’. Since the music worked so well in the film, the band got renown before it’s first live appearance.
Formerly, the band members played in various blues & roots music bands. Mark and Mathijs got together in 2003 and started a band called The Germaphonics; an energetic trio that played surf and rock ‘n roll swing tunes. At the same time, Seán started the Seán Walsh Band: a thriving blues rock band that toured throughout Europe and released two well acclaimed albums. Jair Yess played in The New Hip and is one of the best session guitarists in the south of the Netherlands.
Looking for a new thrill, these three musicians started jamming and writing new songs.
The Red Phone is new, hot and ready to rock! These gents know how to take the stage… So go and see one of their live shows whenever they are around!
